Pilot Course: Robotics Applied to Agriculture
Opublikowano:
The course covers robotic systems, intelligent technologies, and automation transforming modern agricultural practices during all process of the crop production or livestock. It demonstrates how the principles, components and applications of agricultural robotics and the data usage can contribute to improvement of the farming efficiency, productivity, sustainability.
Covered topics include the fundamentals of agricultural robotics, types of robotic platforms, hardware
components such as sensors and actuators, software and intelligent systems including Al and robotics
programming environments, and the practical applications of robotics in crop monitoring, precision
operations, autonomous field work, greenhouse management, livestock farming, logistics, and post-
harvest processes.
The course has been developed by experts from the University of Maribor, which is currently testing a
micro-credential certification scheme. The corresponding micro-credential programme, Advanced Robotic and Sensor Systems in Smart Agriculture (AGRO SMART), is currently awaiting accreditation by the University.
